Great Cage Practice... Notorious, Karnage, some WarParty and Supernats... lots of talent and lots of fun... and no rain!
Karnage was looking golden for Nationals! See you there boys!

The no rain was a HUGE bonus.
Good scrims.
Good luck Dave.
Good luck Karnage - bring home the chrome boys - the whole Island is rooting for you.
I hope to catch the live stream.
It's sad to hear that the Nationals entry won by the hard efforts of the Supernats is just going to burn if it had a no cash value associated with it's reward.
I think the Supernats could of came home with a first if they went.

the island is certainly looking good right now;
notorious - 5 years of serious paintball gellin' and at times they look like they could be a dynasty. dylan's bin slimmin (and i always wondered what that paintball mind could do if it was slimmer and had a bit mo in that bag of trix), reece just has the 'feel' for aggression. jake looked 'in yo face' all day. that team has some serious island talent.
war party - is set to make the leap from app and rookie into rookie and nov. - it's a no brainer lee and dave have created an empire and i really hope the best for them in 2010. they will be practicing regularly starting february ON SATURDAYS at the cage. if you like a laid back, but competitive group of paintball addicts and you're thinking of getting into ball - warparty is a top-notch, high calibre group on a mission. look them up saturdays at the cage.
karnage - like notorious, has games that just scream of speed and effiiciency. jared just slays. he's one of the very best straight-up pure natural talent players this island has ever had. i like eric's comms - they are bang on. who knows what 2010 will bring karnage. they are the only 1's hitting the natz. and they just finished 1st overall in the bcppl series in div 3. we wish them the best at the natz. every1 will b rooting. - kinda crappy they got scuzzed into div 2 when they started bcppl as a div 3 team and i woulda thought they could finish that 1 year rookie term as rookies, polished for the natz. - that's what happened with the supernatz div 3 team last year. they started div 3 in march bcppl and finished div 3 in january (10 months after their start in the bcppl e1, div 3). so i'm prolly missing something there or they simply got pushed up a little early. newho, go karnage go. show us that happy dance despite the higher div.
deception - went to brawl. div 3. - the big league now boys! always enjoy watching this 4-5 man team work it's way along. can't wait to see how they do in 2010.
supernaturals - well ryan arnott has delivered his retirement speech. short and sweet. so we all wish him well in his next endeavour. ryan arnott (as you all prolly know) was a pure killing machine and went from the age 15 to the age of 18 in a blurry of success with his dad kerry and brother dallin. capturing something like 16 trophies in those 3 short years. most of them 1st place finishes if i'm not mistaken - in rookie, novice, and in amatuer - i could go on and on about his total natural strengths and abilities but almost all the top island ballers have seen his paint land somewhere between their eyes so what more can you say. the team moves onwards and upwards with at least 2x5 players squads assembling the 1st sunday of every month for the new 'run 4 th guns' at tswassen. also in line for the supers this year is american travel to cdr park and other west coast events and practices as the 3rd year of the 5 year plan starts for them sunday feb 21.

Yep 2010 is going to be a solid year for Island players.
Good vibes right now.
Once this weather starts to warm up South Island players can look forward to Wednesday Night Sprint Training to fire up again.
I'm thinking the first of March for that as I will not run around outside in the rain unless I'm training for Rugby and Paintball aint Rugby.
Added to that aspect of specified cardio training will have added slides, crawls, get up and go's and NEW squat type moves I recently picked up from some badminton guys I know. Yes, oddly enough I know people that are super hardcore about badminton training - weird eh?
Mountain Bike Mondays will resume along the Goose after Valentines Day and move to Hartland Dump when we have light beyond 7pm again.
Goose Rides will vary between going from Vic to Elk Lake and from Victoria to Thetis Lake in a round about route simular to what some roadies do but we circle the lakes before heading back.
Just a couple of other great ways to stay in shape when off the paintball field.
I recently bought a bike wind trainer for in the house as it's too cold, wet and dark out this time of year.
Those interested in getting in on the Monday Night Rides or Wednesday Night Sprint Training - just keep a eye out for the new thread I will make on the topics in the next month or so - Just remember - day after Valentines IT'S ON!
