Coach, manage, sponsor...There should be a Island RXL team or even a MXL team - or BOTH

b.c. supernaturals - approx 12 rostered players (plus 3 newbs)
war party - about the same, 12
notorious - about 10?
x karnage - 5
courtenay/north island - 5-10
victoria's newer squads - 10-15
i'm prolly gonna go 'doh!' when someone reminds me of who i forgot, but neways that's what, 60ish island competitive speedballers?
of course, without a doubt, inevitably, regrettably, unfortunately; we have obstacles that could quash any attempt. obstacles so incredibly huge that even chuck norris himself would cower in fear.
but
and this is a but of galactic proportions
if we could somehow, someway, unite these players under a single x-ball banner, i would absolutely, unreservedly guarantee that we would take the title. how could we not? are you kidding me? look at the players on this island; multiple provincial and canadian national 1st place champions in all 3 divs.
1 coach, 2 assistant coaches
no captain
multiple sponsors (hit up every paintball entity on the island); us, pw, tnt, vpa, nicol st, harresons, rollie, snpa, long beach paintball, midway, point blank etc.
byop practices at the cage maybe twice a month........

MXL is more open. RXL is for beginners.
Baby steps.
RXL -> MXL -> CXBL

MXL is the next tier up - definitely more competitive and higher level of play.
CXBL is the top crop.
The problem I see with this already is that - it's in Alberta. Good luck finding 12+ guys to commit there money at the beginning of the season to book flights (or cars), players fees, event fees etc and play it.
Xball is at a point where they don't even use an X anymore Tom - lol

Road trips to tournys in Alberta are worth every moment and not a issue.
The only slight challenge is finding some rookies hungry enough to play some XBall...which to me isn't really a challenge.
Specially those with the goal to play MXL or CXBL at some point or even those wanting to get into BCPPL X7 or PSP.
"If XBall were any easier it would be 7man"

i just got back from driving there with two people. gas and ferry was about 150 each for both ways! and no more than $400 for paint. if you rent and RV or two with your team you dont need a hotel.
these events are a lot cheaper than you think. and the roadtrips are fun as <swear filter>. you get to play 7 matches for 40 mintues of paintball! why is there no xball in bc!?!?
