I just picked up an 05 WGP Prostock It seams to shoot fine but I noticed that it seamed to be a bit of an air hog. I didn't think much of it until I stripped
it down for the first time. When I pulled the bolt out and noticed that there was no bolt seals installed. I asked the previous owner about it and was told
that it came that way when he got it (I don't know whether he bought it new or not). I tried the seals out of my trilogy but they are a little to big. I don't
really want to order a seal kit unless i know that they're going to fit.

So i was wondering if anybody knew if the 05 prostocks stock bolt was supposed to have bolt seals or not and why the trilogy seals are slightly bigger?

Also i am just assuming that the bolt seals would help efficiency, correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you talking about an o-ring to seal the breach? or to seal the area around the air passage in the bolt?

Some bolts were made without orings to reduce drag and have a smoother pump action (ram action for semi auto)

others were made with orings to increase efficiency at the cost of a smooth stroke.

its all preference, although you cant do too much to boost your efficiency other than sweet spotting your springs and regulator. Autocockers a gas hogs by nature.

I will elaborate:

You can either buy a spring kit from Madman paintball and tune it yourself, or get someone to do it for you. Or you can buy an entire valve and spring combo from CCM, Palmers, or other companies.

Next thing is tuning your Pneumatics (if you are running semi). lower your LPR pressure to nothing, and slowly bring it up until cocks the cocking rod. then bring the pressure up a little more to account for shoot down at high ROF.

You can install QEV's to your ram to make it quicker and slightly more efficient.

Sweet spotting your regulator to your valve is the most important part: thread your IVG 2 threads from the back, and sit in front of a chrono. Now you will lower your inline regulator down so you are just not leaking down the barrel. slowly bring the pressure up while checking your velocity. If you do this correctly you should notice a plateau effect where your velocity will stop getting higher and start to get lower when you increase the pressure, Keep the pressure at the top of the plateau effect!

I believe recent WGP valves (not including Trilogies), depending on the make of gun or what gun it is out of work anywhere from 230 psi to 400 psi.

CCM valves will sweet spot 300 - 350 psi

I was referring to the o-rings sealing to the breach. there are two on most bolts i have seen and there are two rings in the bolt of the prostock
for the o-rings just no o-rings. thanks for the tips, i am aware that Autocockers are gas hogs i just thought that the lack of O-rings might make
it even worse.

I am currently running semi with all stock parts i just want to get running as efficiently as possible with out upgrades for now.

Thanks for the help
