Well on our way to Port Alberni today we decided to stop at the Hump site as there was a paintball themed geocache we wanted to find up there..I must say I really dont blame Island Timberlands for wanting to shut down the site especially after seeing the amount of trash that was paintball related... As well as a bunch of other garbage in the area.. I hope if this becomes an official place to play that it is kept in better form than it is now. It was nice and clean up there for the last event and thats a big thanks to Westcoastballa and some of the other locals.. Also we were very disapointed and disgusted when we found the cache as someone has opened the container and deficated and urinated inside of it! VERY DISGUSTING!

A Geocache is a hidden container that has various goodies inside of it... You get coordinates online which you put into your handheld GPS unit.. Then you track it down, try and find it, and then see whats in it.. Sign the logbook and if you take something you leave something behind.. Its like treasure hunting! Though the treasure in this one was GROSS!

Unfortunatly we here on these forums are not the only ones using the site. SOme groups just don't clean up after them selves. Everytime someone here has gone up there they clean up and take or burn the garbage. What ever we use for a site in the future we will have to make sure we self police it and signs to let people know its unexceptable. If we are able to start up regular games we can make sure its clean.

I hate it when people are not resposible.

Oh I know man that you guys from the site arent the only people that use it... Just saying that its sad to see that there are people in this sport that have to be like that... Ive always been a firm believer that you take out what you bring in and even more if you can take it with you!

thats the problem with some "outlaw" ballers. they dont want to follow a commercial fields rules(for instance cleaning up). its douches like the ones who leave garbage lying around shoot pedestrians and such that give the sport a bad name. people like that make me want to place my foot in their arses!!
