They are all active on some level or another, some are focusing on the R4tG series, some on BCPPL, and some are picking a few events throughout the year rather than looking to do an entire series. As I'm sure you're aware WarParty and X-Karnage practice at the Cage not Midway, and Misfits are a new Victoria based team that practices at the Cage saturdays with WarParty.

supernaturals are based out of nanaimo although many of the players are from all over the island. our home field is the cage in duncan however we have a newly built full-sized speedball field in nanaimo - all that needs to be done is to wait for the seeds to catch and grow.

Well if you look for Island Teams that have played a full series be it MR or BCPPL from begining to end with the same roster all year long and who has taken a series top three placement in the past five years.....well....then you have a real challenge ahead of yourself.

Yes, Island brand names like BC Supernaturals, Untouchables, Exodus, Stress Relief and a few other home town teams/brands have many wins here and there and have showed up to events consistatly or atleast when it suited them...Warparty was consistant last year with lots of success...others - not so much.

'Active Team' is not a deffinition I would give any Island group in the past five years. We have active Island players that compete each year event after event.
If you take a look at the BCPPL events and the listed team rosters for the last few years - you'll get a idea of what groups have been successful and placed well.

BCPPL Div 1 2008 Series - 2nd place Win - Notorious - with VanCity Spartans bumped out of finals the door was open for a Series 1st place but just couldn't shut down CDR or Cartel.

I think there was a Island Rookie team that took a series win recently as well but I can't put the name to it - (someone help me)

I challenge all Island teams to take a BCPPL series win in their division sometime over the next five years - it's a accomplishment that's harder then you think with the same roster.

If you are thinking about getting into it as a serious and commited competitor - prepare yourself to be let down - it'll be a real challenge finding a group of guys as commited as you are to win. Island speedball isn't like high school sports and it isn't as organized as local rugby, soccer or hockey. It's the bastard offspring child of the entertainment industry we call paintball.

BUT - on the positive and plus side - you have a wealth of teams/camps to try out for - I suggest you check out each groups program and methods of operation before you commit to anyone.
