After a deal fell through for a cheap pump (thinking Brass Eagle Talon for a hobby project - don't laugh!), I started cruising some used sites and found this - make of it what you will.

If anyone has actually dealt with this company, please reassure the rest of us - even if you have to admit this is a pretty creative failure to research the target market!

Dragon Impact is a lil shop under the Odeon Theatre in Victoria.

They sell all sorts of misc ninja sheot and mma stuff.
They did get into some milsim looking paintball gear about a year or two ago.
Those 'real ak47s' are just those rap4 jobbies - they honestly have no clue about paintball.

I did find some cool mini posters of Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris there as well as some knock-off ASP batons to beat junkies with.

Chinese knockoffs? Literally - and I mean that! You can purchase this DBoy's 3381 SIR shroud for $47.30, including free shipping!

But why would you possibly want to order it from China, when the same, rebranded item is available from RAP4 at the low, low price of $310.00 (shipping not included)?

Like any concerned consumer, I wrote RAP4 to ask why they were marking their product up by a whopping 600%, and the representative wrote back with a "supply and demand" answer that was so retarded it's not even worth searching my e-mail inbox for.

Its probley just a TACAMO. Thye were designed in China by the Chinesse AK producers. They were design for simulation excercise in the china army. They started to sell them to north american markets, but have been difficult to pass importing laws. you see them for $150-$400. Best price I have seen is on ebay through these guys here.

Hey guys,

Here's what the manufacturer told us at Dragon Impact :

http://www.dragonimpact.com/paintball/pain...lak47marker.jpg

AK-47 Marker Specs

These are not made by RAP4 or any other "replica" American company but from a company in China that reclaims old used/broken AK47s, disassembles them, strips them for parts and then reconstructs it into a marker gun for North American use.

True Dragon Impact is not a dedicated paintball shop, but we're in business to sell really cool stuff, and the idea of using what was once the real deal as a paintball marker ... well ... that's cool.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

Later.

Dragon is probably the best place to buy a decent knife (cold steel, SOG ect) for a fair price in Vic.

Was there this week for the first time, and for a knife/sword geek such as myself you'll find plenty of awesome - though not everyday carry - stuff to spend your money on.

Mom: "What do you need a combat tomahawk for?"
Me: "chopping firewood"

According to a recent comment I heard after my paintball n00b friend asked a staff member at Dragon...

Thier 'real' AK47s shoot a smooth no paint breaking super accurate 700+fps.

Someone please give thier staff a link to some informative YouTube Vids - and not the crappy ones made by other n00bs that can't answer paintball questions correctly.

Still a super cool store - best lil ninja store around Victoria
