I'd guess that probably 90% of us make ticket arrangements in advance, there are usually a few that go over without a ticket in hand but not very many. Mostly because if Matt did get swamped and had to turn people away it would suck to make the trip and not be able to play. I don't think that's ever happened yet but I prefer not to risk it personally.

Basically on game day everybody meets on the 7am ferry in the cafeteria, were not hard to spot just look for all the camo and speedball jerseys. Once were about halfway there someone (Usually SP or Me) gets a head count of people who need shuttle service from the ferry to the field and we give Matt911 a ring and he sends over the MexiVan, or Pick Up to grab us all.
Sometime probably about a month or so before game day Matt911 will post a thread regarding the event and that is where most of the chatter, ticket grouping, carpooling etc etc for the islanders will happen

Typically I call up Matt and order a ticket in advance (I give him my credit card number). Ticket is waiting for us at the "gate". No issues to date. As there are no local ticket sales sources I am not sure how we Islanders can get them any other way.

I will hook you guys up, just call as always. 604-437-7529 is my office number. We bill your CC and have the ticket at the sign in counter for pickup.
We are launching our new combat course at Tactical Paintball Games on May 08 (Saturday) - free BBQ for players, plus pickup games on the field running from lunchtime to 5pm.
Stay tuned for more details.
Matt / TPG

Matt, could you throw a few of the dates for that up in the Calendar so they're easier to find / don't get lost. I'm busy that weekend (3 birthdays) but I suspect there are a few folks around here that would be interested in checking it out.

When we call to confirm tickets I just tell Matt that they're for Islanders / Island United side and he tries to keep us all together. We often don't know which side we'll be playing on until game day as sometimes numbers require Matt to swing us (Island United) to a different team to keep things balanced.
We'll see you there, if you want to roll with the main Islander force let Matt know and he'll put you on the right team (whichever one that winds up being). If you've got a specific team that you're looking to play we'll see you there and 50/50 chance we'll be shooting at you

Most of us meet up in the Cafeteria because the Buffet is a little pricey, and there's usually a few of us stationed there through out the trip unless the boat is packed and they start asking people to leave the cafeteria as soon as they're finished. When you're finished at the buffet you should swing by and say hi.

We're never quite finished at the buffet...
Will drop by and say hi next time!

Awesome - see you guys on the ferry! I'll be buddying up with Oscuro and possibly Rockfrog (dunno if he's coming to Colombia, though), so keep an eye out for a stray gaggle of ballers going in the same direction you are. At least one of us is going to be dressed VERY conspicuously.

I read that there was a combat course opening soon in Tsawassen. This was the flyer, I believe.

I've only played Tsawassen once, for the 2006 event "Blackhawk Down," so I'm not the most familiar with the field's layout.
My question is, is the combat course going to be open for business on Operation: Columbia?

I believe the Tactical Course is at the other field, the gun owners field just across the highway, not the main field where the scenarios are usually done.
