the group shot was after Shaw left. it was right before the last game. I am also curious when Shaw is going to air the footage.

that group shot is a classic! our official count was 71 players at peak, and 5 staff. so 76 brave souls plus a few drivers and an observer or 2.

yes! thanx2 th island ballers from port alberni! i had a great day enjoying your town's unofficial paintball heaven. got shot out by a pump on a lone-wolf flank attempt. 1 shot. centre of mass. yellow fill. found some hits after the fact 2 so i'm sorry 4 any1 who gotted robbed. got stapled in the speedball court 4 letting my guard down, avoided the swamp (experience). had a frikkin blast with the whole lotta ya!

tomm, dave, lee, yvonne, marius - my good slayin buddy andrew - the refs, marty, vantage gats, boss dudes, etc etc etc. hopefully we can do it again and make it bigger. if every1 that was there 2day brings some1 with them 2 th next1 we'll be close to 150 players! believe me, it's waaaaaay funner with 75on 75. can you say maelstrom? favorite moment; the defense. yikes! a memory 4 life that1.

til next time amigo's!

Awesome Day!!! My thanks to ALL 65-70ish ballers who rolled out for the Island United-Renegade ONE!!!! Lots of smiles! Lots of high fives!

Thanks to Jamie and ref corp... Tom for the HPA and loaner markers and paint. Tomm for the signage and logistics... and my thanks to ALL of the Ballers who have spent time up on the HUMP building, fixing, adding and rebuilding over the years. You guys and gals have a real nice field! Super job! Thanks for letting us play on your turf!

I snapped a bunch of photos as the day drew to a close... some action shots, some groups shots... will get them up as soon as Daryl gets a zip drive over to me. Stay tuned.

Dave.

ps. Lee found a mask... and another baller found a pair of paintball pants (I cannot recall his name).

Absolutely best experience playing paint ball ever, i had a great time. I wana thank everyone who showed up it was great playing with you all.

still cant believe i got 4 kills laying along that rock ledge. Holy <swear filter> though, sitting in that fort as a defender watching 40 odd guys come rushing down a hill...kinda scary.

The Shaw Footage should be on about the 1st of May. SHe is going to be using it for some internal Shaw Compitition where the host has to take part. So this will work great for this. When i have more info, I will let everyone know.

Was an excellent day and great to meet so many new (to me) faces, put some faces to forum handles, and catch up with more than a few folks I haven't seen in a while! That's a really nice field you've got there and I look forward to getting up there again and getting to know the layout a little better.

Jenn said that she expects the piece they shot today to air May 1st and asked me to pass that on to everyone.

As SouthPark mentioned there was a water bottle and a mask left behind at the end of the day which are currently in my care. If you know who either belongs to please send me a Private Message with a description of the item(s) and we'll figure out how to get them back to you.

Well before midday I was hearing alot of chatter about doing another one of these from pretty much EVERYONE involved so it seems inevitable, at this point I think it's mostly a matter of sorting out *when*.

Great seeing so many folks out for this, and thanks to everyone that made it work with planning, logistics, and the pre-game work that went into cleaning up the field so it was ready to go today!

What a great day of paintball, I haven't had that much fun in a <swear filter> of a long time. I can't beleive that there were 70+ ballers out today.

Big thanks to everyone who made this happen, ZeroOne, Tom, Refs, all the people that have put this field together and maint it.

Can't wait till out next visit.

Are you implying that everytime I get a new marker its up for sale a short time later? I'm hurt
I'll play at least half a day with it before I switch back to the phantom and put it up for sale!

I'll hit you up on MSN when I do tongue.gif, one of these days I'll learn my lesson about buying cockers...

So whens the next big game? I wanna do a camping/weekend out of it!

Great photos ...

... I still can't seem to wipe the grin off of my face ...

Great field and the most organized outlaw game I've ever seen. It shows you what Islanders can do.

It was awesome playing with and against you all, it certainly did not feel like a group of strangers. I can't pick a highlight today but defending from that little diamond shaped bunker in front of the fort was definitely up there.

I'll post any video that looks passable from the barrel cam.

Cheers,
Alex

No date set yet, but everyone sounds pretty enthusiastic about it. We'll need to take a look at the Events Calendar and figure out when is likely to work without squashing too many other things to do it.

If you're missing some pants, take a look under "Paintball Talk".

Great day everyone! Looking forward to the next one. That's a waaaay sweeter outlaw field than we have up here in CR.

The camp-out idea sounds really interesting... could work out to be a two-day event!
