So, I just got the new JT Proflex Revolution, & read the instructions, which says to never use paper towel to clean the lens blink.gif (because it scratches easily).

So lets get real... Who honestly brings a case of microfibre lens cloths out to the field with them to wipe paint off the lens all day long (with just plain water, I might add)? Have any of you folks ever, ever had an issue using paper towel or toilet paper on these lenses? Maybe a little dab of diluted dish soap?

Can any of you recommend a lens cleaner other than Plexus, or JT Majik Spray that wont attack the lens? Dish soap must be OK, right? It doesn't attack anything that I know of...

I tend to have half a dozen micro fiber cloths in my bag (thanks to a sponsor donation last year) - only seem to use it maybe once or twice on a play day. They wash out fine int he machine.

For a spray I use a product I bought about four years ago at Industrial Plastics called Novus - does the same as Plexus but it's not in a areosal can and in a nice flat rounded bottle that fits in my gearbag pocket. I don't even need to use the spray with the microfiber cloth - I just use the spray when I feel like cleaning a lens nicely.
Even the cheap $1 micro fiber cloths you find at Crappy Tire in the auto detailing section work fine - will last the day - unless you get gogg'd a butt load.
And I'm sure a spritz of diluted dish soap and a paper towel will do anyone just as good

I stopped using paper towel long ago - not in fear of scratches but because other players mooched pieces of it so fast it was gone in no time.

Me. LOL. I do. In fact I think we (WarParty and Island Militia) all do... really. Well... that is when we remember so... that would be about most of the time. We also bring spare batteries, spare masks, spare lenzes, spare macro line, spare orings, spare gunz, back up orings, back up batteries, our own compressor, PAPER TOWELS... uh... and other stuff... kitchen sink... oil... uh... you know... boy scout stuff.

Yeah, I got a bunch of large'ish microfiber cloths form Crappy Tire for about $2.00 each... (well, $4 for 2) in the household cleaning section... they have a shammy style and a terry cloth style... till not sure which I like better... but I usually have 2 or 3 of each with me.
