paint starts at $36/box 2000 with 6 other varieties going up in $2-3 increments.
air - $5 a head. compressed to 4500 or C02. C02 hasta b requested as those tanx r frikkin heavy plus at $5 it's a money-loser. i'd prefer 2 just bring a whack of 12oz. tanx pre-filled and go that way. we'll need 20 plus to bring the comp. otherwise i'll bring 2 big bulk 4500's.

should we do a sign up for paint and air? if i have only 'maybe's' on that, i will want to scale down the equipment list.
let's try a sign-up list. waddya all think? all free-rental markers will hafta use our paint. but at only $9 a bag/500 that hopefully is okay.

tom - paint yes, air yes.
capt. cod - paint yes, air yes
ian - paint yes, air yes

etc. etc.

i'm all down for a free for all where every1 brings all their own stuff and no one is restricted in any way or form. the only reason i suggest a sign-up is 2 make everything a lot easier. also, with low-prices, we can convince the newer lookee-loo's to get on board. perhaps this will become a regular port alberi/island militia/united thingie and we'll adjust from there.

Sounds good to Me Tom.

Paint : Yes for me for 1 box.
Air: I need C02, unless someone wants to lend me an air tank for the day.

I posted on alberni.ca and on the qulicum guys face book page. I will update it telling them to come here to register for paint /air/ rentals.

Thanks man

I'm in for sure, I'll go for two mid grade boxes Tom ... I need to cycle my tanks so I'll have my own air covered and bring two SCUBA's.
so
Paint - Yes
Air - No

I'll see you all there! I can probably muster up a noob or two as well, but I can't say for sure.

I'm bringing my personal CO2 fill station- it's only a 15 pound bottle though... with maybe 10 pounds left in it... but it'll be there to keep the last few die-hards playing if it boils down to it.

I'm gonna want 5 cases of paint at these prices, if that's ok... or are the supplies rather limited?

What side of the road is the turn-off, and will there be a sign posted??

What games are we gonna play???

What close-encounter rules will be in effect???? (ie: 15 foot rule/ barrel tags/ mercy)

Who's bringing a chrony?????

Why is the sky blue??????

Where do babies come from???????

follow hwy towards port alberni. after cathedral grove (about 20km before port alberni) you will climb a series of turning hills as you ascend the pass. at the top of the pass there will be a trucker's brake check area. just as the truck stop comes into view there will be a single dirt road to the right.

it's right there baby! also, for supplies, i will add every1's requests the night b4 and bring ample. so no, 5 cases is not too many. i can bring 50 ish. maybe more if we need it.

i don't personally see a need for a 15 foot rule, but mercy's and close shots should be done with repect for the opponent. also, that field looks like it'll handle all the basic games:

centre flag
capture the flag
attack/defend
2 player teams

i'll roll out a proper perimeter for the speedball nearer the end?

I've recently built 5 double ended flags and stands (opposite colored flag on each end) that we can use for a command-post (respawn point) capturing type game. I was just gonna leave them up here at Point Blank this weekend, but if people are interested, I'll be happy to bring them.

I'll try to get signs up, if I have time.

Why is the Sky Blue you ask ;

There is a physical phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering that causes light to scatter when it passes through particles that have a diameter one-tenth that of the wavelength (color) of the light. Sunlight is made up of all different colors of light, but because of the elements in the atmosphere the color blue is scattered much more efficiently than the other colors.

When you look at the sky on a clear day, you can see the sun as a bright disk. The blueness you see everywhere else is all of the atoms in the atmosphere scattering blue light toward you. Because red light, yellow light, green light and the other colors aren't scattered nearly as well, you see the sky as blue.

And; To make a baby you need a sperm cell and an egg cell. The sperm cell comes from the daddy and the egg cell comes from the mommy. When the sperm and egg meet, they make a tiny baby that is smaller than a grain of salt. The baby grows in the mommy's tummy for nine months. Then the baby is ready to come out.

I hope we were able to answer all your questions cool.gif

so i was wondering a few things about this feild.
Is this an actual field with bunkers or is it just an area of bush/forest?
Is there a covered area built there at all in case of rain or will we be close enough to stage out of our vehicles?
Is there ample parking?
Will there be a boundry line marked or is there already?
Last but not least. what time are we shooting for to start this at?
