Here's a great idea - lets take the package to NB and loose paperwork on the way

if it's in NB I suspect they may have lost more than just the paperwork...

It's not actually in NB, the paperwork gets processed in NB which is where UPS' head offices are...

I wanted to guess something like that but then my jump to conclusions mat isn't' as funny.
Apparently the shipper put the last name 'Bobson' on it - which is awesome.

And they offer a new service of calling you before it's arrival so they can give you a 1-800 number to call where a computer tells you just how much of a UPS Brokage fee they are going to rape you with - because the guy calling 'doesn't have access' to such information.

Oh how I love UPS.

I love the $83 Brokerage Fee too for a 30lb box - UPS Man claimed that you should have the US Vender ship 2nd Day Air - it should be cheaper for them PLUS brokerage is included.

Good to know.
Worht investigating

You pay more for 2 day I think. But end up saving some cash in the brokerage grafts

Thats why I only use USPS there is no brokerage fees and about the same time to deliever maybe a few days later. I learned that lesson when ordering stock from my store from Wizards and Other US companies.

I once bought a 10 base 48 port Switch to run a LAN party 8 years ago. We bought the Switch on ebay for only $25 and teh fes cost us $150. $25 was the shipping charged us and then UPS put a $100 US brokerage fee and charged us another $25 in exchange rate. We were pissed. I didn't even pay that for my new 48 port Gig switch I had for my gaming store.

Ya its a joke and they get away with it, it is what happends when bid out the delieveries when they cross teh boarder.

From the venders point of view it was going to cost him $30 to ship it UPS Ground.
I was going to cost him over $100 to ship it USPS.

Shipping included was his offer.

He didn't want to reduce his net profit that extra $70.
I didn't want to pay that extra $70 for shipping USPS.

I could have but even USPS would add a Fee - given they are never as high with thier fees as UPS but I took the shot.

The UPS employee claimed that thier UPS Second Day Air would be a little bit more then UPS Ground but no where near as much as USPS Ground.
I'll believe it when I calculate my landed cost on my next 30lb box I receive this month using his advice.

Who knows, I may end up loveing UPS after all.
