heres a little video i found of the practice/tryouts that you all missed by staying on the island.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyJCQbF9-lM

i would say this one practice was worth 2-3 weekends of going to any place on the island. fact is this.
the mainland has more to offer than playing on the island alone does. i have never hurt so much after a practice and felt like i learned more. so if you are serious about getting better try and hit up some practices on the mainland.

just my 2 cents. but what the <swear filter> do i know

So... did you make the team? It was a try out right? Can you spell Concubine?

I hear it was 7 on 7 and 3 on 3 and then more 7 on 7....

I do agree that there is great benefit form hitting some of the mainland practices. I have gone over to practice at Ambush a bunch and a couple of times to Panther and a few times to TPG.

Heh... Speaking of TPG and mainland practices at other fields (Sniperz) as you are a fan of the mainland practices "cocker" I guess we will be seeing you out for the R4tG tournaments... I mean... they are on the mainland... there are mainland teams there... so... Notorious gonna show and get some mainland practice in? :0)

lol.
no, i dont believe we will be, and 3v3/7v7 is what happened but when you are playing against people that play in the am div, and ex pro's and learning things from players you never get to play with other then at tourneys it sure helps alot. you learn how to break down other teams when you can see how their systems work from with in.

with vendetta going pro im sure they will attract ALOT of attention from teams and players when they practice in BC

and i didnt think i would make the team with players like evan horgan going, and of course tommy who used to play with bushwhackers, it was still the best practice i have had in the last year or so

the mainland has more to offer than playing on the island alone does.

I've been saying that for over five years.
Specially when a day at TPG costs the same as a day at the Cage for me.

Ambush and Panther however are a little trickier when not planning to drive over.
It's easy if you can sucker a mainland brother in arms to get you at the terminal - chippin' in for gas helps and even if you had to buy lunch as well - it's still cheaper then taking a car over and back.

Maybe now people can start to consider stepping it up and doing at least one mainland practice a month.
It's more then worth it. Also don't forget DBS.

So far I seem to be on target for the once a month trip over... Ambush in January to prep for Nationals. TPG in February for Gridlock/Thunder tryouts. TPG in March for R4tGs. Will be hitting TPG again in April for E2 of R4tG... and Ambush in late Apri to see my ghost and unicorn (don't ask... I'll say it was a trip though... theirs not mine... I don't trip) brothersl.... all going according to ze master training plan... oh... and Sniperz in May?? Must try for DoodleBugz in mid summer between BCPPL events and Euro Vacations... LOL

at least 1 visit a month on the mainland. practicing against better players will make you better 2. this should be the mantra 4 any island team that has the desire and the cash to aspire 2 b better.

playing with and against the likes of top-level players is an opportunity not to be missed. i'd have been there myself to enjoy the 'stars' and the high-level play but sadly the cage hasta get 1st priority for me - we already shut it down last weekend for the 'run'. arly and jef totally wanted 2 go but 4 some crazy voo-doo mojo shiz they missed the ferry. the other 'nats just kept 2 the ugly budget and scrimmed with some new island up and comers in alex and his crew and colt with some of his gang. having vendetta as the west coast's 1st pro-team is great for the 'ballers in b.c; it gives them the opportunity to maybe one day becoming pro themselves. it ups the level of play in b.c. as well.

i would have thought vendetta would have made the semi-pro step 1st like CDR has done as they were somewhat close to their level of play but who knows. kudo's 2 them 4 trying and let's all cheer them on as they rep b.c. on the international stage.
