Hey guys, i just traded for a dm5 and i knew there was a leak but i figured it was orings. there is virtually no lube on the bolt so that could be it, but i was wondering if anyone might have an idea what it is?

Fraid I know nothing about leaking DM's but was that what you wound up trading the T9 for?

I would rock a DM5 any day.
Check the Matrix Forums yet?
I'll guess it's the big urathane oring inside of the beer can.

BUT

Change and lube the sail oring on the bolt first - it's the black middle one of the three there.
Lube is nice.

I love DMs big time but not solving a leak makes me want to run them through a band saw or toss them into the Pacific.

Jordan,

I have the Dm5 manual... it suggests that you check the #013 Top hat Oring. The manual also suggests that if the #013 replacement fixes it you may have to high of an input pressure. Also check and replace the #020 on the outside of the bolt can and the #017 on the inside of the cylinder... I think I have all of these Orings from when I had the PM markers (PM6, PM7 and PM8... LOL... I had a thing for these spools for awhile).

D.

air leaking into the gripframe is one of the 2 outer beer can orings not sealing. and leak down the barrel is the front tophat oring.
hope this helps.
