Yes it was great to met. It was good I was wearing my T.roy jersey. You guys played really good. warplanred I think is the weekend after skyline. Skyline Nation is a great event. They feed you like kings and it's sponsered by Budwiser. MR paintball will be there with a pro shop to sell paint and tech markers. They are making too custom markers as part of the prizes. I was hoping some of you would be coming down to show us flatlander how it's done. I would hope you would sign up for the World Task Force and rain <swear filter> on the Skyline Nation. This event is not like most events out there. Once you played it you will be back next year. If you guys have question about the event, like do you think it's was worth it. Ask on our site under skyline nation or the guys on albertabushball. I wouldn't worry about best value with Skyline Nation . You won't find anything like this. If you fly in they pick you up at the airport and bring you down to the field. I rent a motorhome every year and bring out my 42" LCD to watch the video from the day.The guys from the states have already signed up. 3 from LA, 2 from Coloardo. Blast Raduis podcast is coming back. It sounds like a few people from outlaw paintball in Van are coming over to play. It's capped at 100 to 150. The best part is there is a salon to drink in after right beside the camping area.

Like you said Definitely on the ToDo list, one day.As it sounds like it is an incredible event.
The $350 isn't the real issue sounds quite reasonable for a 3 day event once there, its the cost of and getting from here to there and the travel time.
If I had the time and the cash and the permission of the wife I would go for sure, chances for me to be able to go this year very very slim.

... hey, its only money.
CamoKing, I'd bet we could eat and drink "$350" worth alone ... might be harder to play the next day though.
I spend about $150-200 on a TPG day ... $100-120 on a scenario at Midway; but that includes travel.
This type of trip would work for me if I planned now for 2011 ... and spent the year grovelling with the wife.
That said, keep me in the loop if a group is going.

a case of paint costs $30. we all own our own gear. so where the frak is the $350 going?
i'd set up a weekend thingie here on the island, no ff, $40 a box. bring your own steak. that's what we need more of. personally, i am completely sick of paintball having to cost every1 an arm and a leg.
don't get me wrong, i like the props and a few refs, but 4 th island militia, we could prolly do without refs and we could prolly find lotsa places with props already there.
all we need to do is pick a nice weekend and get every1 on board.

Well, in this particular case it's 3 days of play, 1 case of paint, and sounds like food and booze are covered for all 3 days as well... And yeah, I'm down for a BYOM Bushball BBQ event more than most guys, but I think we also have an unusually well equipped group of paintball freaks around here *laugh* I suspect we have several times the density of chronos fill stations, compressors and techs you'll find in pretty much any circle (if you discount the field operators)...
For us to put on a well equipped bush event for our buddies it mostly means packing the gear into the vehicles and finding a place to go. For pretty much everyone else it means finding someone that has the gear, space, refs, and when you're at that level of involvement you may as well go whole hog and plan a major to-do (as it sounds like they've done in this case). When you don't already have all the pieces available to put on a well produced shindig it IS worth it to most people to hire someone to do it for you, and even when you do have all the pieces sometimes it's nice to be able to just show up and play and not have to worry about the compressor, if everyone's got paint, etc...
It'd be nice to see MORE simple affordable events happening, but the big productions definately have a place for an occasional special event in most players lives, I know they always will for me... they'll just get bumped in favor of budget friendly ball when money isn't plentiful.

so sorry if the hosts of these events were offended as that was most certainly not the intention.
i meant that with ALL these events costing so much money, paintball in it's present form is having some major growth issues. to the point of killing the sport.
so no, skyline and the natz weren't the intended target. you usually get what you pay for and i have a great time at these kinda things.
i guess what i'm trying to say is that we need more cheepie events to get more players into the game. that's all. and of course, this is just my personal opinion.

Totally interested in seeing a local bush-renegade game set up. Lets do it. Talk to you on the 6th (WarParty practice at the Cage)...
Skyline Nation... I'd go... if I were not already committed to play BCPPL the weekend before. It is going to be a killer long weekend with Bree, and music and more bree followed by another can of bree. Yum. Canned cheese! Who would have thought that a cheese company like Bud would sponsor a paintball event! Nutty woods ballers from across the country all gathered together... good times. Massive field. Food provided by the hosts... dude... good times.
