I get the feeling that night time stalkers and killers are created by people who can not sleep due to stress.
Stress from being recently laid off or family/relationship issues.

Killers formed from a deep hate for their employer, general life problems, relationships.
Maybe a rooted anger that has festered for years bottled up.

Then it just becomes a game of how many murders you can get away with before you're caught and put to death by a court order.
Thus relieving all pain and suffering. Face it blood feels warm and comforting when it rolls down your arm or face.

Making things right in your own world.
Seeing a solution in a knife blade, a shovel, a bat or hack saw or the instant gratification of firing a hand gun to someone's dome.

Because, lets face it anger management and counselling can only take away some pain but not all of it.
Suicide isn't the solution because you already know how awesome you are and how awesome your life can be when some simple things are taken care of.

When those simple things are put in order and go as smooth as they rightfully should - life is great - it's all rainbows and lolly-pops.
I wonder how sharp I can make this K-Bar?

Have a Happy Halloween.

My personal favorites are battery terminal cables, ball hammers and sturdy boot heels... sharp things are reserved for when I'm feeling the need to be efficient.

For torture I would just go with road flares, battery acid and re-runs of welcome back carter.

Stress and sleep deprivation doesn't make killers/night stalkers.

Having <swear filter> genes and/or a <swear filter> environment to grow up in screws you up. And then when stress/not enough sleep/etc reduces your ability to cope, you start stabbin' folks.

(I'm also a fan of fire.)

So lets say someone was raised on welfare in the projects.
Physically beat everyday buy his own paranoid schitzophrenic mother.

Gets wired out on drugs and becomes delusional and paranoid.
Can't sleep while stressed out, full of rage and anger with no vision of a solution and thoughts dwell on killing those causing said stress?

Would that past justify your theory?

Yeah he'd fit right into my theory quite nicely.

(Schizophrenia isn't super genetic though, 12% chance of getting it if one parent is schizophrenic)

gotta somewhat disagree w ya frenchy, every1 has choices. i've seen too many 'well-to-do' kids fuckup and way too many welfare skids (such as myself) with 1 parent (me again) who had nothing paid for them and had to do it all themselves cuz no one gave a flying fish. now certainly i would be a candidate of pent-up anger and schizophenia and my kill count is surprisingly low. maybe the army drained me of that killing desire, who knows?
