I've recently came across some "cooked" paintballs. Every one of them has flat spots, and feel slightly hardened. I'm curious if they can be brought back to life if I store them awhile inside a humidor, then toss 'em in a rock tumbler or something... My laundry dryer seems like a bad idea for obvious reasons.

Wash 'em in the bathtub, and dry 'em on a soft lint free towel. That should make clear what you can do with them.

You sir, are a funny BassTard! *laugh*

Fatty, I tend to keep some of my old garbage paint around for testing my markers with after I've been working on them, but there isn't much you can do to "revive" paintballs. Some weirdo may have spent the time to come up with a humidity and temperature controlled setup to do such a thing, but it would be both rediculously expensive and just plain not worth it in time or money to bother...

Use them as bath beads...the red 1's might be strawberry flav and the blue 1's are blueberry scented flav...

I dunno... I am not aware of any way to revive them. Typically if they are square or flat or really out of round I just toss them out and truck on over to the nearest paintball shop (Duncan) to score another box or 10 of paint.

Funny thing is...what prompted me to even say that was hanging out at an indoor field in Kelowna, circa 1994 or something, and one of the staff dropped a tub of paint on the ground. He proceeded to collect them all up in the tub, then took them to a sink and washed them off. James (the owner) was NOT impressed. Not sure if the guy was fired immediately or not, I really can't remember.

You can also feed them to the neighbourhood dogs and watch the owners freak out about multi-colored mess they leave behind. No it won't hurt them, my dog loves paintballs.

hmmm well you could take a syringe with air in it and push air into the ball and it should just push all the dimples right out tongue.gif

here's what i'd do - purchase those 'sniper fins' that glue onto the ball. no joke. i'd glue the fin on the flat side. voilas - the most accurate paintball around.

use 'em as corner balls, the ones that shoot around the bunkers

repackage them, sneak over to tnt, swap 'em for a box of good ones. (i do this all the time) - but be leery of reinski, i think he might be on to it.

Damn... I just had a visual of a junkie with a mask and a syringe hiding behind a bunker trying to find the vein on a paintball... blink.gif Gives a whole new perspective on "Shooting Paint" tho

You know you have a problem when....

As long as the rehab is your place, let them be crackers.
