So I'm adding three small micro fans to my profiler because try as I may I just can't keep the "unfoggable" fog free ... maybe I'm just a big greasy sweat hog.
Anyway, for those that already use fans, or have used them ... what's the best way to route the airflow? down into the lens cavity, or up and out of it?

up and out would be the best, i have a fan in my proto and with it blowing down the humidity just ends up sheeting on the inside of the lens which gives you a realy wierd fish eye view of the field.

Dave have you tried wearing headbands that usually helps lots of people who fog the unfoggable....... then you dont got to listen to that lil buzzing while your sneaking around

headbands a fail as well ... tried it for a few months and it just gave me a few more minutes before I went blind.

okay, knowledge impartage.
many eons ago the supernatz went through the whole 'fan' thing with 20 creative and 'outside the box' thinkin minds all crumbing in:
fanz bite. our best attempt was the lttle computer fans (about 1 1/2 inch square. radio shack 25 bux. 9 volt). newho, we installed them over the top either sucking, or blowing, your option. cut a large hole in the rubber above the lens to maximize flow. battery goes in the headband strap with mini toggle switch.
believe it or not that was our best of the worst.
many many hundreds of $$$ and many hours trying to solve the fan puzzle.

My solution to my VF Profiler fogging problem...got a JT Proflex
No, that's not the fan/mod option you were looking for but it's what worked best for me - never fogged since and I sweat like young jew at a bar mitzvah.

Well, my solution was to rpess my old JT spectra back into service (you know the mask that later got named the proshield). updated with a new frame and lense and it's been my backup/primary lately. But since I also happen to have this profiler ... I need to make it at least remotely useful ... this is basicly it's last chance to shine before I take it out back, douse it in gas, light her up and pee on it to put out the flames. I already have some 25mm fans and misc parts from one of my other hobbies.
