So as of July we will be running Pump Days on
July 12, 2009
August 9, 2009
September 13, 2009
October 11, 2009
November 8, 2009
December 13, 2009
These days we will be running regular speedball practices, as well as regular woodsball, but we will offer rentals ( pumps) and a seperate field ( rotated during the day) for pump players to have their own games. maybe at days end we can organize a renters versus pump players as a final conflict who knows?
Anyway I know there are a few pump players on the island and I just wanted to pass this along, rates and info will posted later in the week on www.bcpaintballevents.com website

Come on Islanders represent and make it to Panther for the pump days. Just don't map quest it because it sent the rest of my team through the border on the way to E1 where Tristan was cavity searched.

Aren't we suppose to welcome people into paintball...not ruin their new paintball experience??
Whether new or seasoned paintballer, all are welcome to join in the pump games.

I have to agree with this. It's abusing the renters, and that should never happen. The day it happened at TNT, I was obviously not there, otherwise it wouldn't have happened then either.

renier and mega are both right. you don't wanna give the renters a bad experience but if it is possible to make it a good experience - then the field staff should be able to recognize this. sometimes we mix groups if
1.) the groups agree on their own accord
2.) the staff is confident that a good experience will be had
we won't mix groups if
1.) the groups are reluctant to the idea
2.) the groups are mismatched
i've seen it go both ways and in more cases than not, you want to keep groups seperated as reiner says. as field operators we have to understand that the customer is entrusting us to make their visit as absolutely fun as we can. whatever it takes - the customer is always right - so usually this means a 'professional' on the field at all times to ensure the players are getting what they want - fun - safe fun, and an outing that will want them coming back for more.

Not everyone wants to play with a semi auto...some see it as very costly...I hope this will get the people out who want a "limited Ammo" type game

IF we get 15-20 pump players ( within expectations)
And our usual 100 plus renters, I think the odds would be fairly even?
5-1 should make it fair?
( I find it funny that people are suggesting that we would force non complient players to HAVE to play against seasoned players........excuse me but DUH, they end up not happy, they don't come back, they don't come back we don't get repeat bizzness, and repeat bizz = Money)
I would hope after almost 21 years of being in this bizzness I had finally figured out how it works.
That aside I'm sure we will have people of all levels coming out to try the pump days, I'm currently looking into tuff affordable rentals to put on the field.
