Hey I resonantly purchased a Tippmann A5 off of ebay and it is having some issues. It will put almost no air on the ball and it will not run the cyclone feed. I have checked the tank used it on other guns and it works fine. There are no leaks and I have been over the gun and break down page hundreds of time and I am sure nothing is missing. I was wondering if anyone has seen this before and has a solution or if someone on the island would be willing to take a look at it.

Thank you very much for your time,
HopelessNoob out

I've heard about PW Paintball. If you call, ask for Becky, she is the one to talk to.

It's also quite possible the cocking rod spring and the drive spring have been swapped. But, coming from e-bay ... it's best to get someone familiar with tippmanns to give it a good personal looksee ... you may even have non-standard bits that don't belong. ClayBain is closest, or myself, or Paul @ PWPiantball can help if you get up to the Duncan area.

or maybe the drive spring guide pin is missing, causing the drive spring to flex and distort.
as Rockfrog said the springs could have also been switch with another after market kit that maybe non-compatible or put together in a hurry and mismatched, either way, myself or the other contacts mentioned by Rockfrog can help you.

hmmm. internet huhn?

check the tombstone discharge spacing, to see if the dynamic twin pin accelerator nodule has be skewered. if it's not that, than it's anybody's guess.

I am well versed with the A5 and will have a look at it for you. I also have lots of parts for them so we will be able to get it going.

Email me and we can workout a time.

I talked to the fellow on the phone. Based on his description it sounded to me like the cocking and hammer springs were mixed up when he was rebuilding his marker. Just off the phone with him now and he reports all is well after switching the two springs back to where they belong. Fixed.

It is pretty cool how many folks offered to help out though. This forum is alive.

Thought so ... glad to hear your back in working order. That one is about the most common mix up in A5/X7 history.
At least this is proof Dave (SouthPark) still remembers a bit about all that woodsball stuff ... jk

OK Joshua.

Here is the deal - I love bushball but I need to practice with my team for BCPPL. This obligation is eating up my free time. However, I am willing to join you on the 5th BUT the trade off is you have to come to Midway SpeedBall for a team Practice. Heck... bring ALL of Hellfire. It will be a blast.

LOL.... yes we tend to do that... fortunately in this case it happened after the answer was found for your marker issue.

Joshua... he is PWPaul (PB store owner in Duncan). Likely had on a blue jersey.
