we have an issue with a couple of our markers (rage 06's + an ion), they are chopping paint like crazy , ive considered all of the common factors like batteries, hopper batteries, different barrels, barrel o rings, and on my ion the dwell and rof settings are ok ?????

help

btw did anyone have problems like this due to the cooler weather?

First of all, are they chops or barrel breaks ?

Are you using good quality fresh paint ? It's cold and damp outside so paint will tend to be more of a PITA than when it warms up outside in general. If the paint is good fresh stuff, does it fit the barrels you're shooting it out of. If it's too tight then you'll get more barrel breaks than usual.

More info would be helpful.

the problem is with some xo rainbow that is a month old , the paint fits the barrels with a nice even resistance tho, but every couple of shots a ball will break like 1/2 down the barrel or at the end of the barrel

Did you also factor in operating pressures, velocity, the storage facilities for said paint?
Paint stored in too cold or too hot of a area...well...

I smell a paint issue more than gun issues draxxus rainbow is not only inconsistant with bore sizes but can often be good or bad on it's own.

Plus this weather isn't helping out lately.

At the bastion field in parksville we've been having the same problems (to differing degrees depending on the marker) with pretty much all of our paint for the past month, in the cold and damp.

Rainbow has been very good up til the last batch. This particular batch is a bit brittle for the cold weather, probably wouldn't be nearly so bad in the summer, unfortunately this time of year is hard on paint, and add a brittle batch and yer in for some soup. It's a combination of temperature and paint for sure. I would suggest going with Bronze...a bit more expensive, but gonna be well worth it.
