All right, I am thinking of hosting a true recreational tournament...not designed for the typical speedball crowd, not played on a speedball field.

These are some of the ideas I have come up with:

It will be played on the large version of the Bastion field, similar to the one used at the Ocean's 9 Game. So a mix of tire stacks, wooden structures, woods, and some airball bunkers to fill in the gaps.

15 minute games of capture the flag. (2 flags, one at each start point.)

3 man most likely, though could be 5 man if there's enough interest

No speedball guns allowed, ie Ions, DM_'s, Proto Matrixes, Timmy's etc. Tactical Ions (SP8's or Ion's with tactical body kits are okay) Blowback electros are okay (Spyder's, Blind Rages). BT4's, A5's, are the preferred gats...

Got a Tiberius you wanna use as a backup? or a Zeus? How 'bout a PGP? Go ahead. If ya wanna use multiple guns...sure, but only one standard semi auto, and one pistol (or two pistols). A Tiberius T9 counts as a standard semi auto, unless it is broken down to true pistol form and the rest is left in it's case.

Grenades? Why not...lol

electronic communication devices? meh...why not.

ANY speedball type player who wishes to play; ie anyone with more then 3 tournaments experience can only play if they use a pumpgun, and can only have one gun.

end brainstorming idea for now. Anyone interested? Any other suggestions?

This is intended to be a tournament for FUN, though we will have trophies for sure, prizes are optional. If you want prizes, let me know in this thread. Prizes mean higher entry fees. If you don't want prizes, then the entries will be less. The majority consensus will determine prizes or no prizes.

I would like to do this in late March or early April. It will be on a Sunday.

Who's in??

I think you'd have to make it run off a 12 gram Co2 canister to make it count as a sidearm, but I may have misunderstood the rules. wacko.gif

Never saw the post before and its from 2007 ( tells you how much I frequent forums,) but the original concept is one that old schoolers have kicked around the past couple of years and is very similiar to the BCWPPL series we are running in Southwestern BC this year, with games in Victoria Tswwassen and Langley / Surrey.
