Here are some general guidelines for posting gun problems that will let people give you the best diagnoses in the shortest amount of time. I hope to write up a couple quick troubleshooting guides for common markers and sticky them. That'll come in time. For now...
1) Make sure you say what kind of marker you're having trouble with. The more relevant specifics you can give, the better. Here are some things that are useful to know. Make, Model, Year of manufacture (if known), any perfomance upgrades that have been made to the gun (not *bling bling*).
2) What the problem you're having with the gun is. Try and be as descriptive as possible.
3) Let us know under what conditions the problem appears. Paint in the gun, or just dry fire ? Are you running HPA or CO2 ? What's the weather like when you're having problems ?
Just to show you what I'm trying to avoid, here's an actual e-mail asking for help, that isn't helpful.

| I just got my paintball gun today from my friend Trent. It takes a 12 gram cartridge of co2 and when I stuck the co2 in the gun it didn't go in. My dad said that it was missing a part because there wasn't the part that puts a hole in the end of the co2 and he (Trent) can't find the part so I don't know what to do. And I was wondering if you could get the part, ohh and by the way if you find the part could you e-mail me at xxxxxxxxxxx@aol.com because right now I'm using my moms s.n. cause I have parentel controls. |
What kind of gun is it ? Who knows ! What is the mysterious "part" he's talking about ? Not a clue ! Why do we need to know who Trent is ? Not important !
So now, armed with this foresight, post away ! And good luck with your gun troubles.
